Metamorphosis - Samiha Zaki

Like a caterpillar in its cocoon,

I too must transform and change,

Shedding my skin and my old ways,

Breaking free from the past's chains.

No longer content to stay the same,

I spread my wings and take to flight,

Leaving behind what once held me back,

Embracing the new and the bright.

It's not easy to let go of the past,

To face the unknown with an open heart,

But the beauty of transformation,

Is in its power to give us a fresh start.

So I welcome this metamorphosis,

This shedding of my old skin,

For I know that in the end,

It's how the butterfly begins.
